By land

When you come to us by land, the first part of the journey is by car or bus.
During a drive of about three hours on the Afobaka and Brownsweg you will see the urban environment of Paramaribo slowly change into untouched nature and you can prepare yourself on the way for the moment that you have really penetrated the beautiful jungle.

The final stop of the bus ride is Atjoni. This is where the Brownsweg ends and merges into the Boven-Suriname River. Here you will transfer into a waiting dugout canoe – a traditional wooden boat, cut from one long log – with outboard motor and you will be sailed to our lodge for two to three hours.

Along the way you will see several villages of the tribe, women doing laundry in the river, children playing, bird watching and perhaps monkeys and caimans on the banks.”
